This is a lookout at the end of hwy 270. You will pass through Hawi and Kapaau (where the King Kamehameha statue is located). Rain clouds come here often and it started raining while I was on the path to the beach - so I turned back since the path looks slick already and I didn't want to get stuck. There's some warnings too, so be aware if you decide to go. I think it's a tell tale sign when locals stand at the top and go "good bye" when you go down and "we have a survivor" when you come back.... So basically it's not such an impossible trail just it is clay and it rains there a lot so it's dangerous. I already didn't like the path due to vertigo and I saw the clay and the rain clouds so I turned around at the first drop - by the time I was at the top it was pouring. So all and all a good call.
